Cumbria has gained its first dedicated debt recovery business with the launch of Woodside Debt Recovery Limited, a new company established to help local organisations reclaim unpaid invoices, rent arrears, and overdue accounts. Founded by experienced debt recovery specialist Aaron Sambells, the business fills a significant gap in the region, providing a specialist service not currently offered by any other independent firm in the county.

Unlike traditional legal practices that include debt collection as only part of their wider services, Woodside focuses solely on recovery work. The company operates on a transparent model designed to support small and medium-sized businesses, landlords, and individuals. Its standout offering includes a simple £25 fee, added to the debt rather than charged upfront, allowing clients to pursue outstanding payments without financial risk.

Mr. Sambells, who has more than a decade of experience across enforcement, commercial recovery, and legal case management, said the aim is to provide an accessible and professional service at a time when late payments are placing increasing pressure on local businesses.

“As costs rise and cash flow tightens, many companies simply can’t afford to write off unpaid invoices,” he said. “Woodside has been created to give Cumbrian businesses a practical, cost-effective way to recover what they are owed.”

In addition to launching the business, Woodside Debt Recovery has already begun contributing to the community through local sponsorship. End of last year, the firm sponsored the Cumberland & District Billiards County Championships.

With Woodside now established, the company intends to build its profile across Cumbria, offering professional debt recovery services while maintaining a strong connection to the community it serves.
